The Belgian Malinois is a breed of dog that originated in Belgium. It is also known as the Belgian Shepherd or Belgian Sheepdog. Originally bred to herd sheep and cattle, it has also been used as a guard dog and police dog.

The Malinois is a medium-sized dog with a black coat. It has a square build and muscular body, but not overly so. It has brown eyes and erect ears that are floppy at times. The tail is long and covered with hair except for the tip, which is usually docked to avoid injury when working with livestock.

The Malinois has an average lifespan of 12 years, though some may live longer than 15 years. They should be fed twice daily due to their high energy level; they require more calories than most other dogs do (approximately 2/3 cup per day).

Malinois are intelligent animals who love to learn new tricks and interact with people; they are also very active dogs who enjoy long walks or playing fetch in order to burn off excess energy reserves built up during periods spent indoors away from family members who may otherwise object strongly against such behavior!

The Belgian Malinois is a medium-sized dog that originated in Belgium. It is a working dog and has been used as a police dog, military dog, and guard dog. The Belgian Malinois is known for its agility, speed, endurance and strength. It makes a great companion dog as well as an athlete.

The Belgian Malinois has a sleek body with strong muscles. Its coat is short and dense with colors such as black or black and tan with white markings on the chest, feet, tail tip and around the eyes. They have floppy ears that hang down on each side of their heads which gives them an alert expression even when they are resting in one place for long periods of time without moving much at all!

Belgian Malinois dogs make excellent companions because they love spending time with people whether it be going for walks or playing fetch in your yard together every day after work hours are over for the rest of us humans who have jobs outside our homes where we live together with our families too!
