Description

Boxer dogs are known for their loyalty, love of exercise, and affectionate nature. They are one of the most popular breeds in the U.S., with an estimated 1 million Boxers living in homes across the country.

The Boxer breed originated in Germany in the late 19th century. They were bred to be strong, athletic dogs that could withstand the rigors of training and hunting. The name comes from their tendency to “box” with their front paws when excited or anxious—a behavior that has been discouraged by many trainers because it can lead to injuries.

Boxers have short coats that require only occasional brushing to stay looking healthy and shiny. Their eyes should be clear and bright, with a dark brown hue; their noses should be black or brown; and their ears should stand up on top of their heads with a smooth curve toward the front of the face (not folded over).

Although they’re known as friendly dogs and make good family pets, Boxers need plenty of exercise to keep them happy and healthy throughout life—so plan on taking them out for long walks every day!

Boxers are a medium-sized breed of dog with a muscular body. Their coat is smooth and short and comes in fawn, brindle or black.

Boxers have a square head and a long muzzle. They have small, triangular ears that hang down on their cheeks, which are also covered with hair. Boxers have a wide nose that has plenty of room for panting in warmer weather.

Their eyes are dark brown and intelligent-looking, with well-defined eyebrows over them. Boxers have strong necks and shoulders and short legs with strong paws for digging. Their tails are thick at the base but taper to a point at the end. The tail is held upright when alert or friendly but may be wagged when playing or greeting their family members. A boxer’s coat is short and sleek — it does not require much grooming other than regular brushing to keep it free from tangles or mats that might form under the hair if left unkempt for too long (especially around the belly area).
