Background
The Great Dane is also known as German Mastiff or Danish Hound is a dog breed which originated in Germany. The name of the breed is pronounced as “grat dahner” which means hunters of great game . It should not be confused with the English Mastiff, from which it was derived. They are an affectionate breed that needs lots of attention from its owners and would do best when they’re with their humans most of the time.
Characteristics
The Great Dane has a short, smooth coat that can come in different colors such as brindle, black, blue, harlequin, fawn and mantle harlequin.
