Background
Poodles are large-sized dogs known for their intelligence, agility, alertness and the ability to be trained. They are one of the oldest breeds of dogs with its origin in Germany where it was used as a water retriever. Poodles can come in different sizes referred to as Standard Poodle (large size dog), Miniature Poodle (small size dog) and Toy Poodle (tiny, small size dog). Poodles have a high energy level and enjoy rigorous exercise during which his quadrupedal movement comes out. The only difference between poodle’s hair is its length, so they all have curly hair regardless of which type. The coat needs minimal grooming but requires daily brushing to get rid of loose hairs. Poodle’s life expectancy is between 10 – 15 years. They are suitable for first-time dog owners, and easy to train and socialize with other dogs. Poodles are good around children but need more supervision as they can sometimes get very “proud”. Poodles are very playful dogs that love water, fetching balls or anything that you would enjoy doing outside. Poodles also respond well to training since it has high intelligence. The poodle comes in different sizes hence there are Standard Poodles, Miniature Poodle and Toy Poodle.

Poodles and Heat
Poodles body temperature is very low making them resistant to heat and cannot handle sunlight for long periods of time. Poodles should not be walked during winter or desert conditions. Poodle’s hair needs minimal grooming but requires daily brushing get rid of loose hairs
